The dwarven faction's core components are the locomotive and rail-laying machinery. Miners extract coal and gold from the mines, and the locomotive arrives with empty freight cars and transports the resources to a city. The city can then process the coal and gold into resources and electricity. Connecting electricity to the rails allows the train to run on the city's resources rather than its own coal reserves.

Cannon wagons, passenger wagons, and research wagons can be attached to the locomotive. The locomotive's movement is limited only by its coal reserves and the city's electricity, making it a powerful unit capable of destroying an enemy in a single turn when properly organized.

Dwarves live underground, accessible through special caves or portals.
